- Medetera Fisher van Waldheim (figs. 43, 44, 45): Medetera
(2.83.4 mm) has a distinguishing wing venation (fig. 43A); there are
no round cells in the middle of the wing and only one cross vein. The
antennae have three segments with an apical alista. Medetera
when alive has red eyes and a green body; when dead it is gray. The
male genitalia is quite conspicuous. The larvae (fig. 43B) have an incomplete
head capsule and soft skin.
